Reece Carter Studios sits at the intersection of woodworking, design, and the natural world. Specializing in handcrafted wreaths and vessels made from reclaimed woods, native grasses, and found natural objects, each creation is a celebration of the often overlooked materials that surround us daily.
From her home studio in Richmond, Virginia, where the James River carves its path through the landscape, Reece draws inspiration from the natural rhythms of the land and water. And because she has a friend with a boat, she also LITERALLY draws from The James River because it delivers an endless supply of beautiful, organic driftwood forms.
Themes of transformation, imperfection and fragility run through the collection, inviting everyone into a closer relationship with the natural world and its ever-changing beauty. Each piece is both an homage to nature’s fleeting moments and a reminder to find wonder in the organic and the unexpected.
